Formosa Solar's subsidiary Yuheng Energy partnered with National Pingtung University to build the largest solar-powered sports dome among Taiwan’s universities. The design echoes the Dawu Mountain ridgeline and provides a safe, well-designed athletic space. The system delivers strong environmental performance with 1,322 kWp installed capacity, about 1.58 million kWh of annual generation, and 748 tons of CO₂ reduction each year.
This collaboration expands Formosa Solar's investment on campus. Phase II installations across three NPTU sites, including rooftops, grandstands, and sports facilities, bring total capacity to more than 5 MWp. The project greatly increases the university’s green-energy share and sets a leading sustainability example for higher education in Taiwan.
